Maintenance Fitter/Engineer (Mechanical) £26k

From the rides in Thomas Land to the thrill rides like Stormforce 10, Shockwave and G-Force, our Maintenance Team works all year round ensuring that all our rides and attractions are safe and reliable and presented on schedule each day for our guests to enjoy.
As an experienced Maintenance fitter / Engineer, safety will be at the heart of everything you do. Working with an established team undertaking daily safety and maintenance checks on our rides you will also carry out reactive maintenance where needed. the delivery of a preventative maintenance programme and responding to service breakdowns will also keep you busy.
Practical experience of plant maintenance is essential. Experience of working with hydraulics, pneumatics and gearboxes is an advantage however training will be provided where required for the right candidate. Training to at least NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
Teamwork and flexibility is key to the success of this role. During the season you will be required to work some weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis and at times will be working alone and as such must be confident in dealing with issues as they arise and have a problem solving approach to your work.

General Handyperson - Estates Department
Drayton Manor Park, the Midlands premier family theme park are looking for a General Handyperson to join our Estates team. This is a full time (40 hours per week) permanent position with an immediate start.
Duties will include:
- Basic building skills inc. brick laying, Block paving, slabbing, plaster / rendering repairs etc.
- Basic carpentry skills inc. fencing, fence repairs, sign erecting and general repairs
- Decorating, painting, tiling work
- General Maintenance
Previous experience and/or relevant qualifications in general maintenance work incorporating a variety of basic building and carpentry skills.
- Able to work on your own initiative without close supervision
- Able to priorities’ your work load
- Be well presented and polite, as some customer interaction is inevitable
- Good time keeping skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A good level of fitness will be required as some lifting and working at height will be needed.
