Silvery Marmosets are found south and east of the Amazon River in eastern Brazil within tropical rain forests.
Their diet consists mainly of the sap and gum of trees, also supplement their diet with fruit, insects, and leaves.
Silvery Marmosets usually live in extended families of about twelve.
Females usually give birth to twins twice a year after a gestation time of 145 days. They can live up to 10 years in the wild and 16 years in captivity.

The Silvery Marmoset’s body is covered in silky white-grey hair and it has a long black tail. The eyes are brown, set in a yellowish pink-buff face. Silvery Marmosets are arboreal and diurnal. Their long, curved claws enable them to climb trees and escape predators. Silvery Marmosets have specialised teeth which help them to gouge out small areas in tree trunks, branches and vines to feed on the gum and sap from the plant.
