Days out with Thomas and friends
Over at Thomas Land we have hours of fun for any little engines who love Thomas and his friends from the Island of Sodor. From a whole variety of fun Thomas and friends themed rides, to our fantastic Thomas Train Exhibition, there are so many wonderful ways to make it a day out with Thomas the train that your little engines won’t forget!
Meet all your favourite characters
For any little adventurers who dream of meeting their favourites from the Island of Sodor, Thomas Land offers plenty of opportunities to see all their favourite characters! Our Engine Tours with Thomas, Percy or Rosie are a fun, gentle way to meet your favourite characters and experience the sights and sounds of the park. Hop on the train at one of our park train stations, and let Thomas, Percy or Rosie take you on a tour. It’s a wonderful way to see as much as possible on your Thomas day out. All aboard!
Our Thomas Land live shows are great fun too – you’ll get the chance to sing and dance along with your favourite Thomas characters, as they perform on the balcony of Knapford Station. If you feel like meeting the Fat Controller, Fungineer Freddie or Station Mistress Sally, come on down and see them sing and dance to some classic Thomas tunes.
Fun for everyone!
There are so many different rides in Thomas Land, just waiting to transport you to the magical world of Thomas and friends. There’s something for everyone, with all ages and speeds catered for, so you’re sure to find the perfect combination on your fun day out with Thomas! Whether it’s a gentle carousel-style ride like Lady’s Carousel or our Blue Mountain Engines, a kid-friendly coaster like Troublesome Trucks Runaway Rollercoaster, or a flying ride like Jeremy Jet’s Flying Academy or Harold’s Helicopter Tours, Thomas Land is full of fun! Every ride is something new, with a chance to see another wonderful character on your day with Thomas and friends. Come and meet all your favourites and let them take you on a fun journey into Thomas Land!
And, if you’re up for a touch of extra excitement, don’t forget to round off your Thomas day out with a thrilling ride on Cranky’s Drop Tower: it’ll give you a good view of Thomas Land from the air, leading up to a soft drop back down!
On a day out with Thomas at Drayton Manor, you can’t miss our Thomas Train Exhibition! This isn’t your average miniature model railway. With original models from the first Thomas TV series, this is a must for any Thomas fan. Our Thomas Train Exhibition gives you the perfect bird’s eye view of the little town of Great Waterton, complete with Thomas and friends…can you spot them?
The scene is set for the perfect game of ‘I Spy’, as you try and spot the sights you know. You can catch a glimpse of the Fishing Village, Brendam Docks, Neptune’s Refreshments, and Ben’s Books along with many other buildings from Thomas the Tank Engine. Everything’s so much fun in miniature!
Spencer’s Outdoor Play Area
Come and say hello to Spencer at Spencer’s Outdoor Play Area! Each one of his carriages has a different exciting activity for young Thomas fans, from climbing frames to slides. This fun outdoor play area offers a great chance to let the kids blow off some steam on your Thomas day out, as they run, slide and clamber over all the fun activities that Spencer has in his play area! Your little trains will have a whale of a time as they go through tunnels and over bridges. Chooooo-choooo!
Emily’s Adventure Play
If the rain comes to play on your day out with Thomas, why not head inside to have fun at Emily’s Adventure Play? With a ball pit, slides, and soft apparatus, it’s soft and safe for kids – not to mention incredible fun! Watch them whoosh down slides and climb up and down the apparatus like the little adventurers they are. The main play area is an adult-free zone, too, so it’s a great place for them to get a moment of independent adventure.
Try the soft play park, too! It’s simply full of active Thomas-themed fun for little ones. Remember, though, that children over 2 years of age can play on their own, but younger kids and those under 1.3 metres must be accompanied by a parent when they’re in the toddler play area. No worries, parents, that just means more fun for you!
When hunger strikes on your Thomas the train day out, why not head over to our wonderful retro Sodor Café? Arrive into Sodor Airport, and discover that tea, coffee and cake abound – just the ticket to fuel your fun day in Thomas Land!
Full steam ahead! It’s time for a great day out with Thomas the Tank Engine!
With a Thomas the Tank Engine day out at Thomas Land, you’re right on track to hours of fun with Thomas & Friends! They’re sure to be ch-ch-chuffed to see you. Full steam ahead! Chooooo-choooo!
