Did you know that our theme park is one giant physics experiment, our Zoo is one giant biological study and our business is a thrilling example for a case study?
Welcome to our Education Department.
Drayton Manor Park has been delivering education to schools, groups and the wider general public for many years. From animal meet and greets for early years to A-level business studies students. There’s a wide range of subjects that we can help your school deliver.
But I don’t want to spend this blog talking about the past or about what we do already, I want to talk about the future, the excitement it brings and how you can be a part of shaping the future of our education offering
Education is constantly evolving. For us to keep evolving with it, we need to continually innovate and explore new learning strategy’s, teaching styles, learning outcomes, curriculum, course specification and education strategies. Education should also be as fun as possible while retaining the integrity of the learning outcomes. “We put the fun into learning”, a motto that has been with us for years, and it is one that I am passionate about ensuring our sessions live up to.
To help guide us through our evolution, my goal is to bring together a collective of teachers and education professionals from across the education sector. A collective that can help carve the landscape of our journey to delivering exceptional educational visits.
We are looking for 6 primary teachers/professionals, 6 secondary teachers/professionals and 4 FE lecturers/professionals to sit on an education advisory committee. The committee will meet once a term for approximately 2 hours and discuss current education trends, new session ideas, plus school/FE wants and needs in terms of future educational visits.
What’s in it for you?
- Adding committee attendance and involvement to your CPD.
- The chance for your school/college to take part in new session trials both on and offsite.
- An exclusive rate for your school to visit the theme park and zoo.
- The chance to influence our education offering for the coming years.
If this is something you are interested in taking part in, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with a paragraph explaining how you feel you could benefit our education offering and how we can support your school/college.
Come and join the rollercoaster ride that is an educational visit and I look forward to working with you in the future.
