Conference and Banqueting Manager

Salary band £23 to £25K oer annum

Responsible for Boardrooms and various Conference rooms with function Bars, we are currently recruiting a Conference & Banqueting Manager to head up a dedicated team of staff.

The role – this is a vital role in delivering a great guest experience, alongside motivating, inspiring and leading a team of staff.  Your role will encompass day meetings as well as a significant number of private dinners and Weddings.  You will be working closely with the Management team and deal with staffing, stock and financial control as well as ensuring outstanding customer service solutions.

Key responsibilities

• You will be responsible for all cost controls throughout the department.
• You will have ownership over service standards and training, ensuring they are embedded in the team.
• You will have accountability for health and safety throughout the department.
• You will promote key relationships with individuals and other departments in achieving success.

With a keen eye for detail, an organised & planned approach to the operation and a willingness to exceed our guest expectation. Often operating on the front line driving standards, you will be a real ambassador of our company, and should be committed to consistently delivering high standards.

The successful applicant must have previous volume experience in Conference and Banqueting operations; at a minimum of supervisory level. Applicants must have experience of Team Management, be computer literate, and able to work flexible hours.
