Drayton Manor Hotel is a 4* 150-bedroom hotel located within the 150-acre estate of the Midlands premier family Theme Park. This new opportunity for a Hotel Operations Manager reporting to the Hotel General Manager sees us seeking a dynamic, outgoing and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about hospitality and dedicated to achieving standards of service excellence throughout all departments of the hotel. Your passion and drive will ensure successful day to day operation of all departments, with operational HODs reporting directly to you for leadership, support and development. Leading from the front, being self-motivated and demonstrating excellent communication and commercial skills this is a role that will challenge and reward.

Key Responsibilities

 Report directly into the Hotel General Manager on critical business issues.
 Have ownership and responsibility for driving and delivering the agreed strategies in line with Commercial Plans.
 Ensure employee satisfaction by leading and progressing the teams.
 Actively seek positive guest satisfaction – whilst striving for further continual improvements
 Planning and forecasting future sales and maximising revenue opportunities where possible.
 Thorough outstanding operational knowledge and experience, monitor, review and improve departmental standards and act as key liaison between all departments.
 Support with the compilation of the monthly management reports for ownership/board meetings.
 Lead by example in guest service recovery and take appropriate action with the teams.
 Through short, medium, long term planning with HODs ensure company standards are maintained, reviewed and enhancements/changes communicated.
 Support the management teams to produce and achieve departmental objectives.
 Support development and implementation of effective training, coaching, development plans.
 Deputise for the Hotel General Manager in their absence.

What are we looking for? Applicants should have; -

 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
 Strong F&B and C&B knowledge with experience of high-volume food operation but also possessing a broad background of all hotel operational areas.
 Excellent Relationship Management skills and the ability to lead a multitude of teams.
 A structured, methodical working approach and able to prioritise to meet deadlines and targets through effective planning with proven ability to successfully achieve set budgets and targets.
 The ability to work under pressure & think on your feet – whilst maintaining that sense of humour!
 Flexibility – this is definitely not a 9 to 5 role and will require weekend and bank holiday working.
