SEND Christmas Grotto

Every child deserves the magic of meeting Father Christmas, and our dedicated SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Christmas Grotto has been thoughtfully designed to create a relaxed, welcoming experience for families with additional needs.

Set away from the busier areas of the park, our quieter grotto offers a calm environment with reduced sensory stimulation, giving families the time and space to enjoy this special festive moment together. Visits are never rushed, allowing Father Christmas to spend extra time with each child, creating a personalised and memorable experience at their own pace.

The grotto is fully wheelchair accessible and our friendly team are on hand throughout your visit to provide support wherever needed.

Each child will enjoy a magical visit with Father Christmas and receive a special Christmas gift, while families are welcome to take their own photos to treasure the moment forever.

The SEND Christmas Grotto is located next to Mrs Kyndley's Café in the Zoo and can be reached via a short walk through the Zoo or by taking the Thomas Land train. The SEND Christmas Grotto is only open on selected dates, so advanced booking is recommended as spaces are limited.

Grotto tickets are £12.50 per person. All guests wishing to enter the Grotto, including adults and children, must have a valid grotto ticket.
